چکیده

A proper edge coloring of a graph G with colors 1, 2, . . . , t is called a cyclic interval t-coloring if for each vertex v of G the edges incident to v are colored by consecutive colors, under the condition that color 1 is considered as consecutive to color t. In this paper we introduce and investigate a new notion, the cyclic deficiency of a graph G, defined as the minimum number of pendant edges whose attachment to G yields a graph admitting a cyclic interval coloring; this number can be considered as a measure of closeness of G of being cyclically interval colorable. We determine or bound the cyclic deficiency of several families of graphs. In particular, we present examples of graphs of bounded maximum degree with arbitrarily large cyclic deficiency, and graphs whose cyclic deficiency approaches the number of vertices. Finally, we conjecture that the cyclic deficiency of any graph does not exceed the number of vertices, and we present several results supporting this conjecture.

Domination and Signed Domination Number of Cayley Graphs

In this paper, we investigate domination number as well as signed domination numbers of Cay(G : S) for all cyclic group G of order n, where n in {p^m; pq} and S = { a^i : i in B(1; n)}. We also introduce some families of connected regular graphs gamma such that gamma_S(Gamma) in {2,3,4,5 }.

SOLVABILITY OF FREE PRODUCTS, CAYLEY GRAPHS AND COMPLEXES

In this paper, we verify the solvability of free product of finite cyclic groups with topological methods. We use Cayley graphs and Everitt methods to construct suitable 2-complexes corresponding to the presentations of groups and their commutator subgroups. In particular, using these methods, we prove that the commutator subgroup of $mathbb{Z}_{m}*mathbb{Z}_{n}$ is free of rank $(m-1)(n-1)$ fo...

On the zero forcing number of some Cayley graphs

‎Let Γa be a graph whose each vertex is colored either white or black‎. ‎If u is a black vertex of Γ such that exactly one neighbor‎ ‎v of u is white‎, ‎then u changes the color of v to black‎. ‎A zero forcing set for a Γ graph is a subset of vertices Zsubseteq V(Γ) such that‎ if initially the vertices in Z are colored black and the remaining vertices are colored white‎, ‎then Z changes the col...
